The only railway competition in Spain

30th of November to the 3rd of December 2009 

 

BcnRail 2009, a biennial show, will be held from the 30th of November to the 3rd of December in pavilion 1 of Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via exhibition centre and will occupy a floor space of 10,000 square metres. Over 500 professionals from the sector have pre-registered as visitors through the trade show's website thereby showing the interest aroused by the event. 

 

All areas related to the railway industry will be well represented at the show and the most important manufacturers of rolling stock, such as Alstom, Bombardier, CAF, Patentes Talgo, Siemens and Vossloh will be presenting their latest products. Building firms such as Comsa and Emte and leading civil engineering and systems companies such as Ardanuy, JEZ and Sener, among others, will also be present. Also participating will be the main operators: RENFE, Metro de Barcelona, Metro de Madrid, Metro de Lisboa, Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat Valenciana, FEVE and the Tranvia Metropolitano de Barcelona, among others.

 

Furthermore, all public administrations involved in the development of the country's railway infrastructures have shown their full support to the show and will be present as exhibitors, such as ADIF and the Ministry of Public Works. The French railway sector will also be well represented with a stand, which will feature the latest advances of the French railway industry.

 

In addition to the commercial exhibition, the show will have an area showcasing state-of-the-art rolling stock and will also provide the setting for the 23rd General Assembly of the Asociacion Latinoamericana de Metrosy Subterraneos (ALAMYS), which will bring together over 300 delegates representing the leading operators of Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
